Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew as a child in Mexico in a family who loved music. When she was a kid, she listened to lots of traditional music as well as traditional Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana loves tangos as well opera and dramatic performances. After singing with her mom at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in singing at 16 under the tutelage of the renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. She furthered her training in music through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and young professional, she sang with numerous chamber ensembles and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. As a musician and teacher, she is committed to various community-based projects because of her love and love for music. Ana was a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes, through her sharing of Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially among the younger generation in keeping the music in the present.
